WHAT IS BIOPOLYMER?
The advantage to using biopolymers in fashioning a biotextil is the incredible plasticity behind the material, the decrease or zero carbon emission and the fast return to nature.
But what is a biopolymer?
Biopolymer is a natural polymer, it can be found in a living organism. Biopolymers are macromolecules with capacity to biosynthesize with DNA, proteins and natural elements.
Other aspects are important in these macromolecules is the polarity, as well the properties chemical, biophysical and genetic. The properties give the plasticity to change and/or to combine elements. We can already observe that some cell shapes offer biophysical effects like is the case of “Young Modulo” in mycelium, that characterize some qualities in final products. In genetic terms, today; the traits always can be changed for better product and developing organisms have the capacity to fast synthesize and more efficiency in industry.
Some natural biopolymers we found in some plants, seaweeds, mycelium and bacteria. In this case our observation centralizes in living organisms that can be created in natural environments or in big natural farms or in laboratories. The process can't finish the life of this organism, but to protect and to keep the conservation.

Biopolymers have similar characteristics like our DNA, they can bond with any type of material, because they have a good polarity to link with different elements and this characteristic gives the big plasticity to create different biomaterials.
